Marketing Methods Of Group Health Insurance
Although an insurance agent of an insurance company may lay the groundwork for a group case, in most cases company employees or salaried salesmen do the bulk of the work. In some of the larger cases companies bypass the insurance agent altogether and deal directly with the group. Some insurance agents and insurance agents’ associations lobby against such practices, but many insurance agents feel that group coverages create a public awareness for insurance which really makes the insurance agents’ job of insurance counseling easier. Many health insurance organizations have no agency force whatsoever. The foremost of these organizations are Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
